Leading sports gear brand Mammut to open its first location in Romania based in RIVUS Cluj-Napoca

Mammut, the notorious Swiss brand specializing in gear, footwear and clothing for outdoor sports, rock climbing, mountaineering and winter sports, will open its first Romanian-based brand store in Cluj-Napoca, in the RIVUS mixed-use urban regeneration project developed by IULIUS Company in partnership with Atterbury Europe.

For the first time in Romania, IULIUS is bringing Mammut, one of the leading outdoor and sports gear manufacturers, to the RIVUS Cluj-Napoca mixed-use urban regeneration project. The notorious brand has a 160-plus years history that started as a small family business producing ropes that were primarily designed for agricultural applications, but were later used by mountaineering enthusiasts for their sports activities. Mammut currently manufactures the most high-performance gear for outdoor sports. This will be the Swiss manufacturer’s first brand store in Romania, with a floor area of approximately 130 square meters, and will complete the shopping mix including more than 400 stores by national and international brands operating in the project bound to become the largest shopping and entertainment destination nationwide. “As we set out, RIVUS Cluj-Napoca will be an experiential project that will bring a series of novelties for the Romanian retail market, not just the regional one. The series of premieres now continues with Mammut, a brand that is highly anticipated by sports and outdoor enthusiasts across the country, as the company is opening its first Romanian-based brand store in RIVUS. The new Mammut brand store will provide clients with a complete range of premium gear, including technical clothing and footwear for hiking and trail running, as well as specialized mountaineering and rock climbing gear. The store will also provide specialized in-store advice, so that each client can find their ideal gear suited for their needs and interests.
